Preferred Consulting Services is a fee-based subsidiary providing a full range of insurance and reinsurance services. In addition to identifying and facilitating relationships between general agents, carriers and reinsurers, PCS provides a wide variety of services to the alternative risk market for all types of captives, risk retention groups and risk purchasing groups. PCS can coordinate underwriting, accounting, claims management, policy issuance and reporting, actuarial, business plan preparation and other support for our clients.
Our account executives have extensive experience in a broad range of specialty markets. For a quarter of a century the Preferred Group has worked with all parties in the Carrier – Reinsurer – MGA relationship. PCS aids general agents in the preparation of comprehensive and detailed business plans and proposals for presentation to carriers and reinsurers. And we assist carriers and reinsurers to identify and partner with profitable general agents.
PCS adds value to these relationships by assessing the requirements of all parties and facilitating the negotiation of mutually beneficial terms. The specialty program arena is constantly evolving. Our active participation in trade organizations such as the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA) and the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices (NAPSLO) allows PCS to maintain knowledge of current market conditions while anticipating future trends.
Our account executives are also experienced in the alternative risk marketplace. We identify viable fronting and reinsurance partners for captives, risk retention groups, and risk purchasing groups, and can negotiate the contractual relationships between parties. We identify qualified outsourcing partners such as captive management firms, claims administrators, and others for our clients in the alternative risk market. We are active in various trade associations such as the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA), the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association (SCCIA), and others.
